The Professor is my favorite Lisa Pay make yet! Lisa’s tutorial for forming the claws and beak made it easy and enjoyable. Mine was to be a Harry Potter owl for my grandson’s birthday. I made the moustrap into the envelope addressed to Harry and added pictures from the book on the wooden block to display important parts of the story. I love that Lisa encourages her students to make the art dolls their own, which made me think maybe I could be a bit imaginative with this one. I am so pleased with the result and my grandson loves it! I am so thankful for Lisa and her incredible patterns!
So enjoyed making this owl! Lisa's patterns always fit together so beautifully,and the mixed media versatility of this guy is such fun! The mouse trap was an added bonus! What a fantastic time I had digging through my stache to find little bits to make up that mouse trap! I'm not the only one who thinks this pattern is a winner as I entered this lovely lady in a competition and she took first place then went on to win the entire show top prize sweepstakes! If your looking for something to enter in competition this is definitely it, guaranteed to steal the show! I enjoyed learning how to sculpt the legs, feet, claws, and beak! What an amazing adventure! Thank you Lisa for your videos! If you are a visual learner like me you will learn so much when you purchase this pattern, jointing, sculpting, airbrushing, mounting, armature, all can be found in this fabulous mixed media textile project!! The pattern and video are an absolute masterpiece and in my opinion one of Lisa's finest designs! Thank you for sharing all your skills with me Lisa, you've made me a better artist and I'm so grateful for your patterns!
I absolutely loved making the professor along with the mousetrap. The sculpted beak and legs along with the claws were so much fun to do. I didn’t think I would be capable of doing it but with Lisa’s excellent tuition I was so pleased with how it turned out. I gave it to my granddaughter and she loves it.
I am still gathering materials to make my owl. Hopefully I will not have to search for as long or as much for my next project or two
